We comment on the political, social, and cultural situations and conditions in the Middle East & North Africa. Our comments are grounded in our experiences in that region of the world as well as in our academic training. We are fortunate to be living in exciting times and to be able to witness and comment the situation in the Middle East as that region is changing before our eyes and in a state of flux.

Beyond topics dealing with ME&NA and the Arab/Muslim world, we will also try to comment on what we think are the most urgent and salient events around the world.  One last word, this blog is a collaborative work, and we write most of the posts together. We will try to update it as often as we can, and make it a place for rational thinking and serious analysis.
